“I never thought it would end up like this for our family…” In any second a life changes. So many of our guests have shared with me their story of how a minor incident spiraled into a major life change for them. I hear this theme repeated more and more often at our Pop-Up Pantry locations – an aging parent that has taken a fall in their home or even a single parent caring for their children. And sometimes, all it can take is a job layoff, tripping on the stairs or even falling on the ice. A change that can take years to overcome. These guests are ALL part of our community!
Each of you help families get through the little changes that threaten to overwhelm them. We are all part of the hand up that keeps families together and healthy. It is that little extra help that makes the difference between being frugal with your budget, not making the mortgage payment, and even not being able to afford essential medicine.
It means so much to the families to be greeted by a friendly face and feel so welcome at one of the Ruby’s Pop-Up Pantry locations. Your gift to Ruby’s Pantry is so important to helping all of the families who need that extra support at a critical time in their life – our friends and neighbors who need that help. By making a donation today, you can help those families in your community that are in need of that extra assistance.
Please consider a gift today to support these families. Your donation will be used solely to provide food shares to those individuals who need food assistance during the month, as well as support the cost for Ruby’s trucks to deliver this food over 96 trips each week and 500,000 miles each year to our Pop-Up Pantry sites. Please consider a donation by visiting https://www.givemn.org/organization/Rubys-Pantry, by visiting our website at www.rubyspantry.org and select Donate or by mail to Ruby’s Pantry, 5833 Pecan Street, North Branch, MN 55056. All donations are tax-deductible.
A single food share donation for a single parent or family is only $20.00 – your gift can go a long way!
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”
